This is a demo video to visualize trajectory using ORBSLAM3.


Test demo

During indoor testing, tracking is lost when turing toward a blank wall. Failure notes:

  • Relies heavily on ORB features, which struggle in low-texture or featureless environments like blank walls, and in poor lighting conditions like dark corridors.
  • Rapid camera movements can cause motion blur, leading to increased drift and tracking failures.
  • It assumes a mostly static environment. Performs poorly in scenes with significant moving objects.
